In Medical Records,
you'll find out all about our accounting service
to medical practices.
Our team of specialists,
under the control of BSG Manager Helen
Whyte, and supervised by Maria
Meiklejohn, meticulously analyse the
practice's income and expenditure for accounts
purposes. Because they deal only with the accounts
of medical practices, they understand the workings
of the NHS contract. Regular briefing sessions
with all specialist staff ensure that they are
kept up-to-date with the constant stream of changes
to the basis of payment.
Because they know
what they are looking for, they can usually pick
up items such as missed reimbursements at the
accounts preparation stage. The real added value
comes at the review stage however, where comparisons
are drawn with previous years' results, with other
practices in the area, and with published national
averages. It is very unusual when we first start
acting for a practice for us not to improve gross
income by this close attention to detail, and
by ensuring that our GP clients understand where
improvements can be made.
And it goes without
saying that no "netting off" of income
and expenditure takes place in the accounts. Now
go to Annual
Accounts to find out more about our approach to these, or
to Management
Accounts to see if these might be relevant to your practice. You
may also like to go to the Strategic
Planning Toolkit to find out about this unique
service to help your practice take best advantage
of the new contract. We also offer a range of
IT services detailed in Solve_IT.
